The Interior Painting Process
Below is the step-by-step process that we perform during every paint project. This is done in order to ensure that all surfaces are properly prepared before we start applying any paint. This way, we can protect your valuables and areas of your home that are not being painted.
1. Property Protection
All furniture must be moved to the center of the room. Exposed furniture is covered in painters plastic. Hardwood flooring is covered with builders paper and or drop cloths. All carpeted areas are covered with drop cloths. We request that any valuables, art work and electronics be removed prior too any painting.
2. Preparation Work
All major cracks and holes in ceilings, walls, and trim are repaired. When it’s necessary, caulk will be applied to trim work and windows. The walls are lightly sanded to knock down any roller stipple peaks and dirt from the previous repaint. Then the repaired areas are primed, stains are primed with stain blocking primers.
3. Painting
Now that we are ready to paint the walls, ceilings, and trim. We then brush and roll the surfaces in a way to achieve an even and uniform paint finish. We recommend and specifically use Benjamin Moore paints, but we are open to other brands as well.
4. Clean Up
At the end of the job, ll tools and painting equipment is removed from your home. The floors and furniture are uncovered, the floors are swept and vacuumed. Touch up paint is left behind for future touch ups and uses.
5. Inspection
Together with the homeowner the finished job is inspected prior too the final payment.

1. Walls and Ceilings
Walls and ceilings are first prepared by patching and repairing any holes and cracks that might exist. Primer is applied to these repaired areas. Premium quality paint is then applied in professional manner for a uniform finish.
2. Windows and Doors
Windows and doors are thoroughly cleaned, lightly sanded, caulked, and any cracks and holes are filled. The repaired areas are then primed and top coated with two coats of finish paint.
3. Baseboard, Crown, and Other Trim Moldings
All trim is lightly sanded, and repaired which may include applying putty or wood filler and caulking. All repairs are spot primed before the application of the selected finish coat.
